The museum is designed on the outside as a 19th century prison but inside there will be 20 different exhibits spread over two floors and 24,000 square feet of exhibit space. The exhibits are categorized into five themes for guests to explore: The History of American Crime; Consequences of Crime; Crime Scene Investigation; Crime fighting and Pop Culture.
Susan E. Frese, Corporate Sales & Marketing Director, says, "Alcatraz East is so excited to be opening in Pigeon Forge. The city is a premier destination for tourism, and our massive collection of artifacts couldn’t have found a better home. The museum was designed for both learning and entertainment. It really is fun for the whole family. You will be amazed how not only you will love the museum, but just how engaged your children will be! It is sure to be the family favorite!"
