The New Lodge at Five Oaks Smoky Mountains

The new Lodge at Five Oaks sits across from the Tanger Mall on the Parkway in the Smoky Mountains. The exterior and interior of the newly remodeled Lodge is based upon the farmhouse of Dr. John and Blanche Ogle which sits across the street. Dr. John raised Tennessee Walking Horses on the land where the Lodge at Five Oaks is located and the pastures sit next to the Lodge.

The new Lodge is a complete remodel to an open, welcoming, farmhouse look and feel. You will feel immersed in Sever County history as the Walking Horse legacy is carried over in the logo, the decor and pictures from bygone days throughout the Lodge. Hardwood floors, comfortable furniture and fresh baked cookies and lemonade in the afternoon make you will feel like you have arrived at Grandma's house. The welcoming staff will make you feel relaxed and at home.

The Lodge at Five Oaks is positioned perfectly for visitors wanting to shop, eat well and play in the Smoky Mountains. The Lodge is across from Tanger Five Oaks Outlet and close to Governor's Crossing with more shops and plenty of places to eat. Fuddruckers, Texas Roadhouse, Joe's Crab Shack, Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse are a few of the places to sit, relax and eat.

And when you you retire to your room, you will be surrounded by custom designed furniture, comfortable, custom-made chairs, custom-made pillow-top beds, and artwork by local artists depicting the history of the area. The room includes a Smart TV, microwave and fridge, and your bathroom features stone-top counters and a fully-tiled shower with a bench, perfect for letting the water wash away the cares of the day.

Visit the Smokies and stay at the new Lodge at Five Oaks and enjoy a perfect stay. BEST WESTERN TWIN ISLANDS - DOWNTOWN BUT MILES AWAY!

TWIN ISLANDS

In Gatlinburg, Tennessee, a unique hotel sits in the middle of town but is separated by a mountain stream and retail shops and restaurants from the hustle and bustle of the town itself. This hotel is the Best Western Twin Islands, and it is unique for many other reasons.

The firsts part of the hotel was built in the 1950's and adding on continued through 1985. Each section of the hotel interior reflects the style of the time from red brick walls to tongue-in-grove siding, and many guests specifically request the sections of the hotel that make them feel most at home. The siding hasn't changed but the furniture, carpet and linens are updated continually to provide the guests a great customer experience.

The courtyard of the Best Western Twin Islands is beautifully landscaped with flowers and trees, and offers picnic areas, charcoal grills, ducks and the occasional geese dropping by to visit. There is also an outdoor pool, Pirate Ship playground, swings, slides, a Kiddie Pool and hot tub. All of the elements to provide a relaxing, family friendly environment.

At least three generations of families have made the Best Western Twin Islands their home away from home when they visit Gatlinburg. They love the family friendly atmosphere and have gotten to know the staff, many of which have been with the hotel for decades. And, if they can't get "their room", they change their dates and come when it is available.

If it sounds like a great place to stay, it is. If you want a place that is convenient to downtown Gatlinburg, but where you can relax, hear children laughing and playing, then Best Western Twin Islands is your kind of place.

Don't wait too long to book because three generations of visitors are already planning to book "their room"!
